Artificial Intelligence is transforming research, education, and society. At the University of Zurich, students play an important role in exploring what this transformation means across disciplines.

The UZH.ai Student Board brings together motivated students who want to actively shape how AI is discussed, experienced, and developed at UZH.

Students from all faculties are invited to contribute ideas, organize activities, and help build a vibrant community around responsible and human-centered AI.

The application deadline is on April 12th!

The UZH.ai Student Board is designed as a student-led initiative.

Members of the board organize activities such as:

• Talks and guest lectures with AI researchers

• Workshops and hackathons

• Discussions on the societal implications of AI

• Community and networking events for students interested in AI

Students are encouraged to propose and develop their own initiatives. The goal is to create spaces where students from different disciplines can exchange ideas and explore the opportunities and challenges of AI together.

While the initiative is student-driven, UZH.ai provides support and resources to help ideas become reality, this includes:

• Event budgets

• Organizational and logistical support

• Communication and promotion

• Access to the UZH.ai research network

• Opportunities to attend leading AI events in Switzerland and Europe

Through this collaboration, students gain experience organizing initiatives while connecting with researchers, industry partners, and the broader AI ecosystem.

Beyond organizing activities, the Student Board will also act as a sounding board for UZH leadership.

Students will have the opportunity to share perspectives on how AI affects learning, research, and university life, helping ensure that student voices are included in discussions about the future of AI at UZH.

We are looking for curious and motivated students from all faculties who are interested in shaping the AI conversation at the University of Zurich.

You do not need a technical AI background. We welcome students interested in:

• organizing events

• building communities

• discussing the future of AI

• connecting students across disciplines
